Meta built a humanoid prototype called Max with Shanghai-based Fourier, The Information reported on 31 Oct 2026, citing unnamed sources (the report is behind a paywall). According to the Humanoids Daily summary of the report, the two companies built Max in three months and began work on Max 2 in September. Max “reportedly stands about 1.5 meters tall, weighs roughly 48 kilograms and uses NVIDIA Jetson Thor computing”, and it was shown inside Meta at a robotics summit in late August.
Neither Meta nor Fourier has published these figures. Meta told The Information that the Fourier work concerns internal research and experimentation and that it has no plans to sell these units. The report gives no product launch date. On the Robopear card, Max is a reported profile until Meta or Fourier publishes its own details.
