AgiBot said on 28 Sep 2026 that it and ASD, a Chinese cookware and kitchenware maker, are to “deploy 100 AGIBOT X2 humanoid robots across 100 retail stores in China.” The robots work as in-store sales assistants: they greet customers, explain and recommend cookware, guide shoppers and hand conversations over to human staff for promotions, stock questions and purchases.
The launch included a three-day livestream from 28 to 30 Sep 2026 from stores in Wenling, Shanghai and Wuxi, each day running 10 hours. Zhihui Peng, AgiBot’s co-founder, president and CTO, is quoted: “we are bringing humanoid robots into everyday retail operations at meaningful scale.” Securities Times reported the rollout the same day, citing AgiBot.
The release quotes no one from ASD, and ASD has not published its own statement. The X2 card on Robopear already shows “shipped” from earlier evidence; this item does not change it.
