Boston Dynamics announced on 6 Oct 2026 “the appointment of Rohit Prasad as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective October 7, 2026.” Prasad was previously Senior Vice President and Head Scientist for Alexa and Artificial General Intelligence at Amazon, where he worked for 12 years, according to the release.
According to the release, Prasad is to join the Boston Dynamics board of directors, subject to the relevant approval process. Jaehoon Chang, Vice Chair of Hyundai Motor Group and Chair of the Board of Directors at Boston Dynamics, is quoted: “We are thrilled to welcome Rohit to lead the company into this exciting new era of real-world Physical AI.”
The release does not name the previous chief executive or an interim leader. The Korea JoongAng Daily reported the appointment on 7 Oct 2026.
