XPENG said on 7 Sep 2026 that it “has officially commissioned its humanoid robot production lines” and that the first IRON robots have come off them. According to the release, over 80% of the core processes on the lines are automated. The release does not say where the plant is or how many units it can build.
XPENG states that its robots “are scheduled to enter mass production by the end of this year.” The first units go to XPENG’s own stores and campuses; the release gives 2027 for the official market launch and deliveries in China and other countries. XPENG published the same announcement in its pressroom on 8 Sep 2026.
A commissioned production line is not a delivery. IRON stays at “demonstrated” in the Robopear humanoid table; XPENG publishes no price and no customer for it.
